Guardamar

The little town of Guardamar Spain, lies about 15 kilometers north of Torrevieja. Following the national road N332 up in northern direction. With about 10000 habitants Guardamar (also known as Guardamar del Segura) is one of the very well known places along the Costablanca. The city is famous for its about 10 km long beach, which is pine forest enclosed. Guardamar del Sergura stands at the mouth of the river Segura and is surrounded by pine, palm and eucalyptus trees all of which were planted to prevent erosion of one of Spain's finest beaches.  Both the Guardamar and Pineda beaches are composed of the finest white sand and the smell of the pine trees which surrounds them makes for an unforgettable experience. The beaches run for as far as the eye can see and are so large that even in peak season, there are days when they seem almost deserted.  Swept during the season on a daily plus basis, the Guardamar beach is possibly one of the best manicured in all Spain Not far from Torrevieja or Alicante and only 30 minutes from the airport, Guardamar is well served with shops supplying everything necessary for comfortable living. There are the usual restaurants, bars, cafes etc. and for the young, a water park and miniature fairground are not too far away. On Sundays you can visit the Guardamar open market where you will find everything under the sun. Be prepared to haggle if you really want a bargain and carefully check the quality of anything you may buy

How to get to the Apartment:
 
Directions from Alicante airport by Hire Car:

From the Hire Car pick up point in the main car park you will exit the car park and turn right (one way). At the end of the car park exit road, take the second left, through two small islands, onto the A7/E15 motorway heading towards Murcia/Torrevieja/Cartegena.

Stay on the motorway until junction 77 when the road divides. Left side continues to Murcia but bear right onto the AP7 still heading for Torrevieja/Cartegena. Continue on the AP7 toward Torrevieja/Cartegena until junction 740, the exit for Guardamar del Segura. At the roundabout from junction 740 take the CV-91 road to Guardamar.

Follow the CV-91 right to the end and until you get to the first of two roundabouts (As you are coming to the end of the CV-91 the apartment block can be seen from the road - it is the tallest white block on your right). At the first roundabout take the second exit then at the second roundabout again take the second exit. This will take you behind the Oriental Wok Buffet building (big red sign you can't miss). The road takes you across a little bridge and at the end turn right past a petrol station along the road called Molivent. Follow along Molivent for approximately 300 yards past the petrol station, around a small bend, then turn right at the sign for Rojales. This will take you under the N332 and just follow the road up the hill until you get to the Eden Urbanisation on your right. Turn into the urbanisation and go to the very end of the road to find the apartment block.
